This feature alone is worth paying for, as over time it can save big money on repairs and maintenance. A durable and reliable IT infrastructure is a massive boost to pretty much any modern day business, and Macs can help achieve that.

And, with Apple constantly refreshing its Mac and MacBook lineup without upping the price, there are better options on offer now as far as the best business Macs, complete with upgraded internals (and better keyboards) for the same price as the previous year's models.


We've compared these business Macs across various aspects, from their GPU and CPU to their RAM, storage, and connectivity ports. We assessed what types of business users they'd be best suited for, their dimensions, battery life, and pricing, among other aspects.


There is also ProMotion technology for adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz. These are the first Apple laptops in a generation to go beyond USB Type-C Thunderbolt ports for which there are three. The models also include MagSafe 3, an HDMI port, an SDXC card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack to attach your favorite accessories.


To test the best business Macs, we started with considering their specifications, like the GPU, CPU, RAM, storage, and dimensions. We evaluated the types of businesses they'd be suitable for and how well they ran resource-heavy apps and multitasked.


We conduct business through two business segments, the single-family business segment and the multifamily business segment. Those two segments are primarily supported by our Single-Family Division, Multifamily Division and Capital Markets Division.


Our multifamily business segment supports affordable rental opportunities across the nation, primarily through the work of our Multifamily Division and capital markets activities within that group and the Capital Markets Division.

Before making the leap from a Windows PC to a Mac, consider your use cases and why you want to switch operating systems. While businesses and users may have strong reasons for wanting to switch, some users may find that they would be better off upgrading to a higher-end PC. Before taking the dive, consider the following questions to determine if a Mac is right for you.


Business owners and individuals switch from Windows to Mac for all sorts of reasons. One of the primary reasons businesses may switch to using Mac devices is the rise of remote work. According to a survey from Dimensional Research and Kandji, 56% of IT leaders feel more confident remotely managing Apple devices in a secure and efficient manner, while only 37% of IT leaders feel the same way about Windows devices. The survey found 75% of IT leaders felt Apple devices, while more expensive in upfront costs, were less expensive to maintain in the long run.


Additionally, 84% of survey recipients said Apple devices were more secure than devices from other vendors. This may be particularly appealing as cyberattacks become an increasingly expensive and common threat to businesses. [Learn more about cyberattacks in our cybersecurity guide.]


The first thing you should do is prepare for the learning curve associated with switching operating systems. If you are transitioning a full staff from PC to Mac, you should begin the process long before you set up your new Macs.


You can use Finder to organize your documents, photos and files and to locate things when you misplace them. Within Finder, you can change the view of your files and move items to iCloud Drive or AirDrop.


Your Macs need to be just as secure as your Windows machines and that means you need to deliver the same standard of support. Even if your employees use Macs on a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) basis, you still need to know enough to stop them being a risk to your corporate assets.


If that user already has an iCloud account, that could easily lead to corporate data ending up on iCloud, protected by a password that was created without a thought for your corporate password policy.


Designed for OS X and iOS devices, OS X Server makes it easy to share files, schedule meetings, synchronize contacts, develop software, host your own website, publish wikis, configure Mac, iPhone, and iPad devices, remotely access your network, and more.


Initiating a major Mac deployment is becoming a more attractive option for many organizations because of the potential cost savings on support, more robust security, and reliable (if premium) hardware, as well as for reasons of user demand and/or satisfaction. Integration with Apple's larger ecosystem, particularly where it relates to the iPhone, which still dominates as the enterprise smartphone, provides an additional argument for Macs in business.


With a solid suite of major business and productivity apps and the ability for Macs to easily integrate into major enterprise systems, there are far fewer barriers to Mac adoption in the enterprise today than compared to even a few years ago.


When you install the Microsoft OneDrive sync app for Mac, a copy of your OneDrive is downloaded to your Mac and put in the OneDrive folder. This folder is kept in sync with OneDrive. If you add, change, or delete a file or folder on the OneDrive website, the file or folder is added, changed, or deleted in your OneDrive folder and vice versa.


To upload files to OneDrive automatically, just copy or move the files to your OneDrive folder using the Finder, or save them in your OneDrive folder from an app. Files you upload this way can be up to 250GB in size if you're signed in to a Microsoft account, or 15GB if you're signed in to a work or school account. If you installed the OneDrive app on other computers, the files will automatically be added to the OneDrive folders on them, too.


You can also use the Finder to rename and delete files, create new folders, and move files around in your OneDrive folder. The changes will automatically be made in OneDrive and your other computers that have the sync app installed.


The sync app lets you sync files from your OneDrive for work or school and even from Microsoft SharePoint sites if your admin enabled it. (If you're the IT admin for your organization, see Enable users to sync SharePoint files with the new OneDrive sync app.)


On the Sync Files from Your OneDrive screen, you can choose the folders you want to sync to your computer, and click Next. This conserves space on your computer, and reduces bandwidth needed for the sync processes.


To change the folders that you're syncing, click Choose Folders for that location, and then choose the folders that you want to sync. To stop syncing a site, click Stop Sync next to the site. (Copies of the files remain on your computer. You can delete them if you want.)


To add your email account to Outlook, depending on your provider you might need an app password, also known as an application password. This is a different password than your regular email account password. One way you'll know you need an app password is if you see the following message: 2-factor authentication is set up for your account. Please sign in using your application password.


With the newer versions of Outlook, you can add your Gmail account as an IMAP account without setting up two-factor authentication, and you don't need an app password. However, for increased account security we recommend enabling two-factor authentication for your Gmail account. This adds an extra layer of security after you enter your password by requesting you to enter a code from your phone to authenticate. 2ff7e9595c
